The following events happened after the resignation of the government:
On February 28th Bulgaria's President Rosen Plevneliev announced the date for early elections: the 12th of May 2013.
A session of the Intercountry Adoption Council was held on March 6, 2013.
On March 8th, 2013 the Ministry of Justice stated they will do their best for the Intercountry Adoption Council to continue having their sessions as usual: 4 times a month, until the elections, planned for the 12th of May, 2013.
On March 13th, 2013 the President announced the names in the interim government. Bulgaria's Ambassador to France Marin Raykov will take over as interim Prime Minister, and he will also serve as Bulgaria's Foreign Minister. Dragomir Yordanov will take over as Minister of Justice until the elections on the 12th of May. He is a former director of the National Institute of Justice.
There is no IAC session scheduled for the week 11-15 of March.
On March 13th, 2013 the Ministry of Justice provided the information that one of their final actions before the interim government took over, concerns the rules for the special needs program.
March 14th, 2013: As of now the Deputy Minister, responsible for the intercountry adoptions, will remain in office. The session of the Intercountry Adoption Council will be held next week as initially scheduled.
